Original research · We read 336 podcast feeds

The biggest shows were the most open, not the least.

Every guest is told to start small because big shows are unreachable. We read the public feed of all 336 shows in our directory and found the opposite: shows with 500+ episodes averaged 59 out of 100 on openness to a cold pitch, against 48 for smaller ones. The barrier is not the audience. It is the booking desk.

Questions, answered.

Is Let's Make A Podcast free to use?

Yes. While we're in early access, creating a profile, browsing matches, sending intros and messaging are all completely free for both hosts and guests. We'll always keep a free way to connect.

How does matching between hosts and guests work?

Guests build a one-sheet profile with their topics, bio and links; hosts describe their show and the kind of guests they want. We surface relevant people on both sides, so a host can find the right guest for their niche, and a guest can find shows that actually fit, instead of cold-pitching into the void.

I want to be a podcast guest: how do I get booked?

Create a guest profile, list the topics you can speak on, and add links to your work or past appearances. Hosts can discover and invite you directly, and you can pitch yourself to shows you'd be a great fit for. A clear, specific profile gets booked far more often than a generic one.

I host a podcast: how do I find guests?

Set up your show profile, describe your audience and the guests you're looking for, then browse and filter guest one-sheets by topic and expertise. When you find someone promising, send an intro and book them, then handle scheduling, messaging and coordination in one place.

Do I need podcasting experience to join?

No. Plenty of great guests are first-timers with something worth saying, and new hosts are always looking for fresh voices. Your profile and the topics you cover matter far more than a long résumé of past appearances.

How is this different from a booking agency?

There's no middleman and no monthly retainer. You connect with hosts and guests directly, on your own terms, and keep the relationship. It's a marketplace and toolkit built for podcasters, not a service that pitches on your behalf.
